Sport Sheffield Logos

Sport Sheffield Silicon Logo

For the this academic year we will be making a slight change to the Sport Sheffield logo to ensure both full enjoyment and prompt delivery of your garments.

For all orders featuring the Sport Sheffield logo, we will no longer be using the traditional embroidered crest. The logo will now be printed onto the garments as a high quality silicone crest. There are a number of reasons behind this change and we hope that it will benefit Sport Sheffield members. The decision has been made alongside senior staff from Sport Sheffield.

Firstly, sportswear garments themselves are becoming increasingly technical in material. This makes it much more difficult to produce embroidery of good enough quality. When embroidered onto thinner garments the crest often becomes crumpled after washing, as does the surrounding material. This will not happen with a silicone crest, making sure that you are always looking your best around campus.

The aesthetic quality and finish of the logo will also improve. The nature of embroidery means that it is not always of a consistent quality however, using a silicone crest will ensure that the logo and the text within it is always looking clear and crisp.

The switch to silicone will also ensure that the delivery of your products will remain as prompt as possible. This is particularly during our busiest periods, when the queue for the embroidery machines can be quite lengthy. Printing silicone crests is a much more efficient process for our production team, resulting in more orders completed on time and you getting your hands on your stash even sooner!

Although the silicone crest is more expensive for us to produce than embroidery, this will not result in a price increase for any of the products on the online store.

We hope that all of this will improve your experience of both purchasing and using Sport Sheffield products. If you have any further questions regarding this, please feel free to get in touch.

Best of luck for the coming year in whatever sport you are competing in!
